Our mission
The web is loud. Notifications, badges, blinking digits — every modern interface seems to compete for a sliver of your attention. We wanted to build something that did the opposite. AnalogueClock.com is a single, quiet object you can leave open on a tab, a tablet, or a TV: two hands on a circle, sweeping smoothly, asking nothing of you.
It's free, will always be free, and is supported only by unobtrusive advertising in the margins.
Design principles
- →Calm by default. Warm paper tones in light mode, deep cinematic black in dark mode. No flashing, no chrome, no chatter.
- →Respect the dial. Four hand-crafted faces — Classic, Roman, Minimal, Modern — tuned for legibility from a phone to a large display.
- →Privacy by default. No account, no profile, no cross-device sync. Your theme and clock face are stored only in your browser's local storage.
- →Performance over features. The clock starts ticking in the first paint. Smooth seconds run on requestAnimationFrame; no heavy libraries, no battery-draining animations.
Who it's for
We built this for people who tend to leave a clock on a second screen all day:
- → Writers, programmers, and designers in long deep-work sessions.
- → Students using Pomodoro and timed study blocks.
- → Teachers casting a clock to a classroom display.
- → Podcasters, streamers, and recording engineers needing a glanceable studio clock.
- → Meditation and yoga practitioners wanting a silent, calm timer.
- → Anyone who simply prefers a circle to a digit.
Content and discovery
The site is organized into clear tool and education clusters so visitors, reviewers, crawlers, and answer engines can understand what each section is for.
Editorial standards
Who writes and maintains this site
AnalogueClock.com is created and maintained by Edison. Every guide is written for a practical time-related task: reading an analogue clock, choosing a display, comparing time zones, planning a meeting, or using timers for focus and classrooms.
Reviewed for usefulness
Pages are updated when tools, routes, or time-related use cases change.
Clear funding
The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising and, when enabled, clearly disclosed affiliate recommendations.
No medical or financial advice
Clock, timer, productivity, and education content is informational and utility-focused.
Publishing standards
Each article and tool page is written to answer a specific time-related task, not to fill space for ads.
Practical purpose
Every page must help visitors read time, compare time zones, choose a display, teach clock reading, or use a timer in a real workflow.
Review cycle
Core clock, world time, timer, privacy, disclosure, and affiliate pages are reviewed when routes, tools, advertising settings, or recommendations change.
Funding disclosure
Ads and affiliate recommendations are kept separate from editorial explanations and are disclosed where relevant.
